The Day the World Felt Too Big
The world didn’t change overnight.
It just… started feeling bigger.
Bigger than my plans. Bigger than my confidence. Bigger than the version of myself I thought I understood.
It was one of those slow afternoons where everything feels paused, like life is buffering. The sun was still high, people were still moving, but inside me—something was off. I remember sitting there, watching others go about their day so effortlessly, and wondering how they made it look so easy.
Because for me, even the smallest things felt heavy.
Dreams I once carried proudly suddenly felt unrealistic. Goals I had written down with excitement now looked like distant fantasies. And for the first time, I questioned whether I was actually moving forward… or just standing still while time passed me by.
But here’s the strange part.
Nothing around me had actually changed.
The same streets. The same people. The same opportunities.
The only difference… was how I saw myself in it all.
That day, I realized something no one really talks about:
Growth doesn’t always feel like progress.
Sometimes it feels like confusion.
Sometimes it feels like doubt.
Sometimes it feels like you’re losing your way—when really, you’re just outgrowing your old one.
I didn’t have a breakthrough moment. No sudden clarity. No dramatic turning point.
Just a quiet decision.
To keep going anyway.
To show up, even when I felt unsure.
To try, even when I felt unready.
To believe, even when doubt was louder.
Not the world.
Not the people.
Just me.
And that was enough.
Because maybe the world isn’t too big after all.
Maybe we just haven’t grown into it yet.
